The journey begins at Abra Málaga (4,350 m.a.s.l.), with a mountain bike descent to Santa María (1,430 m.a.s.l.). Then we continue with a hike through jungle trails to Santa Teresa and Hidroeléctrica, crossing lush vegetation and typical jungle plantations. Finally, we arrive at Aguas Calientes, where we rest before the great visit to Machu Picchu, enjoying its magical sunrise.

Tour starts at 8:00 AM by tourist bus heading to Abra Málaga (4,350 m.a.s.l.) where we can enjoy a magnificent view of La Verónica glacier and surrounding peaks.
Alfamayuc – Bike descent (45 km)
10:30 AM approx.
At Abra Málaga we head to Alfamayuc, the starting point where our guide provides route information. We then begin the 45 km bike descent to Santa María (1,430 m.a.s.l.) — a unique experience.
Santa María – Lunch and lodge
02:00 PM approx.
After arriving in Santa María we have lunch and dinner at a local family lodge.
Bus Santa María → Santa Teresa
After breakfast
We start the day from Santa María heading to Santa Teresa by bus, approximately 1 hour.
Hike Santa Teresa → Hidroeléctrica
Morning
In Santa Teresa we hike for 3 hours along trails with coffee, papaya, mango plantations and native trees.
Hidroeléctrica – Lunch
Midday
At Hidroeléctrica we have lunch to recharge our energy.
Hike Hidroeléctrica → Aguas Calientes
After lunch
We continue our hike to Aguas Calientes along trails and railroad tracks for approximately 2 hours.
Aguas Calientes – Hotel and dinner
Evening
In Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu town, we rest at a hotel and have dinner at a local tourist restaurant.

The most awaited day — the beautiful sunrise at Machu Picchu. We wake up at 4:00 AM for this privilege.
