Alcamayo Waterfall Aguas Calientes

The waterfall of Allcamayo or Alcamayo is located 1 kilometer from the town of Aguas Calientes and 10 kilometers from the citadel of Machupicchu at an altitude of 2040 meters above sea level.

There are 2 different prices: If you enter the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes you will not have to pay this fee because it is included in the entrance fee.

How to get to Alcamayo Waterfalls

The only way is through a hike that has a duration of 25 to 40 minutes of travel for it you will have to make the entrance through the entrance gate of the hot springs of Aguas Calientes, and then take the detour that is fully signposted for your arrival to the Alcamayo falls.

Stone sculptures in Alcamayo Machu Picchu Village

During your tour to the waterfall of Alcamayo you will see sculptures and constructions made of miniature stone representing the citadel of Machu Picchu, these works of art were made by local artists in a number of 36 works, all of them can be seen and photographed for free.
