ITINERARY

DAY 01: CUSCO – MALAGA PASS – ALFAMAYUC – SANTA MARÍA

  • Pick up from your hotel starting at 07:30 hrs. 
  • Beginning of the tour at 8:00 hrs. by tourist bus to the Malaga pass (4350 m.a.s.l.).
  • We will depart from the Malaga pass to Alfamayuc, where we will start our descent by bicycle along a 45 km road to Santa Maria (1430 m.a.s.l.).
  • Once there we will have lunch and dinner in a local family hostel

 

DAY 02: SANTA MARÍA – QELLOMAYO – SANTA TERESA

  • We start the day with a full day hike of 22 km from Santa Maria on part of the Inca trail passing through the archaeological center of Vilcabamba known as the last refuge of the Incas.
  • We will continue walking through trails where there are coffee plantations, papaya, mangoes and native trees of the area, descending to the area of Quellomayo.
  • After a long day of walking for 7 hours we will take a break in the hot springs of Santa Teresa (Qocalmayo), a place to relax the body.
  • The day ends with a one hour hike to Santa Teresa.
  • Finally we will stay and have dinner in a restaurant in the town center.

 

DAY 03: SANTA TERESA – HYDROELECTRIC – MACHU PICCHU TOWN

  • The day begins with a walk from Santa Teresa to Hydroelectric for an average of 3 hours passing through plantations and crops.
  • Once at Hydroelectric we will have lunch to recharge our energy and continue our hike to Aguas Calientes.
  • In Aguas Calientes town where Machupicchu is located we can rest and spend the night in a hotel.
  • Finally we will have dinner in a tourist restaurant in Aguas Calientes.

 

DAY 04: MACHU PICCHU

  • The most awaited day after a wonderful day is the beautiful sunrise in Machupicchu, for this we will have to get up at 04:00 a.m. in order to have this privilege.

DAY 02: SANTA MARIA – QELLOMAYO – SANTA TERESA

  • Our Inca jungle tour continues very early in the morning with a full day hike of 22 km from the town of Santa Maria along roads that are still part of the Inca Trail passing through the archaeological center of Vilcabamba known as the last refuge of the Incas.

DAY 04: MACHU PICCHU
