DAY 1: CUSCO – KM 82 (PISCACUCHO) – HUAYLLABAMBA

  • Pick up from your hotel starting at 04:00 hrs. 
  • We will depart in a tourist bus to Km 82 (Piscacucho) where we will start our awaited tour on the way we will be able to see corn plantations catalogued as the largest in the world.
  • Beginning of the 12 km hike, we will walk for 2 hours to Mescay where we will have lunch and a short break and then head towards Patallacta for a 4 hour walk.
  • In Patallacta we will see agricultural terraces which are built on an uphill slope.
  • Finally we will have a two and a half hour hike until we arrive to Huayllabamba where we will have our first rest and overnight.

 

DAY 2: HUAYLLABAMBA – PACAYMAYO

  • The day begins with a total hike of 13 km, after breakfast and energies well charged we will have a 4 hour hike to the mountain of Warmiwañuska part of the Inca Trail.
  • In Warmiwañuska we will have one of the best views of the Andes mountain range that surrounds the great Sacred Valley of the Incas.
  • Then we will depart to Pacaymayo at 3700 meters above sea level. A downhill hike for a period of 3 hours to then take a rest and spend the night.

 

DAY 3: PACAYMAYO -SAYAQMARCA – WIÑAYHUAYNA

  • The morning begins with a 16 km hike, an experience full of vegetation and the oldest road networks of the Inca Trail.
  • We will depart to Sayaqmarca where we will be able to see the best finishes of the great Inca engineering and Inca architecture.
  • After having been in Sayaqmarca and before a well deserved rest we will go to Wiñayhuayna another archaeological site surrounded by the beauty of its Inca terraces.
  • Finally we will go to the camp in the same area to rest and spend the night.

 

DAY 4: MACHUPICCHU

  • The great day has arrived after a magnificent experience of trekking through the Inca Trail and beautiful landscapes, it is sunrise in Machupicchu, for this we will have the unique privilege of passing through the famous Inti Punku (sun gate), where we will have a magnificent view of the wonder of the world and then head to the entry point of the archaeological center of Machupicchu.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: CUSCO – KM 82 (PISCACUCHO) – HUAYLLABAMBA

  • To start the Inca Trail tour, we will pick you up from your hotel starting at 04:00 hrs. .
  • We will depart in a tourist bus to Km 82 (Piscacucho) where we will start our awaited tour of the Inca Trail, along the way we will see corn plantations cataloged as the largest in the world, main activity of the locals.

  • After having been in Sayaqmarca and before a well deserved rest we will go to Wiñayhuayna another archaeological site whose name comes from the Quechua word “always young” at an altitude of 2500 meters altitude identical to the altitude of Machupicchu with an urban sector with streets, courtyards, liturgical fountains, and a sector of terraces or terraces that in figurative terms is the prelude of Machupicchu which only separates a distance of 5 kilometers.

DAY 4: MACHUPICCHU
