The Sacred Valley of the Incas is located between the towns of the district of Pisac to the district of Ollantaytambo which are located to the northeast of the city of Cusco, both districts are part of the provinces of Calca and Urubamba.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas is located 35 kilometers from the city of Cusco, and about 600 meters below the level of the city of Cusco.
It is a valley located within the region of Cusco and includes the towns of Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Maras, Calca, Urubamba, Yucay and Machu Picchu (one of the 7 wonders of the world today).
Both provinces have a varied physical configuration with different altitudinal levels with district capitals that vary from 2860 meters above sea level (Ollantaytambo) to 3772 meters above sea level (Chinchero):
