There are 3 ways to get to the Palcoyo colored mountains
The first option is to hire the services of a travel agency that offers the tour to the mountain of colors in a full day tour, which usually the start of the tour begins at 5 am and ends at 6 pm.
It is recommended to all tourists who wish to take a tour through a travel agency to verify beforehand all the services that this tour includes and does not include. The second option is to hire the service of cab or private vehicle unit departing from Cusco – Cusipata (2 hours), place where you should have breakfast and then depart to Checacupe to use the detour route by dirt road that is signposted to the community of Palcoyo (2 hours), on the route to Palcoyo you will have to pay the entrance fee to enter the mountain of Colors Palcoyo and after visiting the mountain of Colors will return to Cusipata where you will have lunch and then start the return to Cusco. Take into account to leave Cusco at 5:00 am in order to return to Cusco at 6:00 pm average.
The third option is to take the interprovincial bus service that makes the route from Cusco – Sicuani from the terminal on Avenida Huayruropata, mentioning to the driver that you will get off in Checacupe and will cost 7 soles.
